Introduction
Buddhism is a very famous religion as a fourth- largest religion in the world, which arouse in the Asian continent; ancient India. Today most places of Buddhist history located in Nepal. Buddhism founded in the late 6th century by Siddhartha Gautama who is the son of king Kosol and his mother known as Mahamaya. King Kosol is a ver rich provincial king who provided three palaces to his son for three seasons in India. Those palaced were named as Ramya, Suramya, Subha.
Origin of Buddhism and founder
Siddhartha Gauthama was born in a place called Lumbini near Himalaya foothills. He spends a luxurious life as a prince in a provincial kingdom in India. As I mentioned before he had three palaces due to the fortune-tellers’ prediction, that he will become priests, so his father Suddodana build up those palaces to make him impressed about mundane lifestyle. One day he saw a dead body, an old man, a priest, and a patient which he never has seen before, he was very upset about seeing those tragedies. He was a married prince and have a little infant boy. He was deeply suffered and make a quick decision to quest the truth. So, he left his infant and spouse Yashodhara, and the kingdom. As a result of his quest for the truth, he found Buddhism.
Spreading of Buddhism
Under the leading of king, Ashoke Buddhism spreads all around the Asian continent. Most Asians combined Buddhism into their religion as a result of that today we cannot separate each from the other. Buddhism changed according to the regions and degrees from that Buddhism divided into two parts, “Theravada” and “Mahayana”. Southeastern countries mostly followed “Mahayana Buddhism”, like china, japan, etc.. Sri Lanka, Thailand mostly followed “Theravada Buddhism”. Theravada Buddhism based on policy offerings and Mahayana Buddhism based on Amis offerings. Within those two parts we can see several denominations. But all are followed the same theories and teachings of the Lord Buddha.
Nowadays the situation in Buddhism
Buddhist teaching and guiding are valid for every day and every time. Today many people all around the world willing to know about Buddhism and the philosophy which included in it. Buddhism is the only region which has the freedom to its followers. Many other religious people surprised by this news. But fortunately, it is, because they can focus their lives on their targets and into success. The one who gets this message starts to follow Buddhism to change their fortune. As an example former American president Bill Clinton followed Buddhist meditation to relax his mind, founder of Apple.Inc Steve Jobs also followed Buddhism and some other famous figures all around the world are;
Steven Seagal, Kate Bosworth, Richard Gere, Leonard Cohen, Tina Turner, and Patrick Swayze, etc. There are celebrities and other general people following Buddhism today. Most of them are attracted to the meditations and philosophy which leads our soul and life into peace and success. Most busy people focusing on mind relaxing methods which help them get rid of the depression. Some of them are following Buddhism but they belong to another religion. There is no debar for that from Buddhism because it is more than a religion, but a great philosophy for the general people in the society.
